Every year at the farm there is a family gathering called pick up sticks.  This year we picked up sticks around the yard, we even picked up old combines, found a new water source, cleaned out the old machine shed, repaired the rain gauge, organised the flower beds, mowed, sorted antique buttons, told jokes, ate good food (this year was supported by “Dela New Deli” a non-official Indian catering business), had a huge fire and eventually fell fast asleep!

It has been a month already in the field. Kelly and I have been working hard to grow fresh vegetables and fruit for the Albert Lea, Mankato and Blue Earth farmers’ markets this year, but actually I should say: for you! : )
