I have forever been an advocate of the five R’s: Respect, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Button jewelry naturally flowed out of these concepts. There is just something magical about creating something new out of something old. Each button has a history and a certain charm that makes for a beautiful combination.

I have been doing antique button bracelets for over five years, starting with making a couple for myself out of my mom’s, grandmas’ and great grandma’s button jars. Since then, I have come across many unique buttons through garage sales, estate sales, family, friends and am always looking for more. I added button earrings and pendants–made out of sterling silver or 14K gold wire and all parts are made in the United States (although, the vintage buttons may be from all over the world!).
