CSA 2010 Details

The box:

  • One size, enough to feed two adults and a couple kids or two veggie loving adults with extra to preserve
  • up to 14 different veggies/fruit each week for 20 weeks-June through October
  • occasional cheerful bouquets of flowers
  • newsletter
  • some surprises throughout the season.

Split share:

  • If the box is too big, we recommend finding a friend to share with. Some CSAs offer a half share where the farmers portion everything and each family gets their own smaller box. Our CSA doesn’t offer half shares, but we understand that one box may be too big for some families, however, members can split a share. This means that two or more families together get one regular sized box-and you are the ones to divide it equally or as you see fit. This eliminates a lot of record keeping and food safety issues (like cutting a melon or pumpkin) for the farmer, just really allowing us to be as efficient as possible.

Extras:

  • A gourd birdhouse or button earrings or bracelet
